OOTD :: A Shifting season
There are many reasons why I love being a blogger, most of which revolve around the community aspects. But one selfish reason why I love blogging is that when I realize — a year after the fact — that I really did want that dress or that top or whatever, all I have to do is ask the community for help and my desperate search suddenly bears fruit.
When it occurred to me that I was an idiot for not buying Anthropologie’s Shifting Feathers Dress (reviewed here), I scoured the Trade Market over on my other blog Effortless Anthropologie, eBay, friend’s closets, local secondhand stores, everywhere and anywhere I could think of. Alas, the popular dress was nowhere to be found. Once again it was the Trade Market that came through for me. I was able to locate both a medium and a large to try (I’d originally tried a small but I’ve heard this dress shrinks). I settled on the medium and was able to pay the large forward to another community member. Ain’t life grand when a group of fantastic ladies can help you get what you want? Thanks to Tiffany, Meg, Suzan and Chelsea for their help in finding this pretty summer dress. The community recently helped me locate an Anna Sui dress I’d been searching for too. I’ll have that in a future OOTD.
I’m working on the editorial schedule for this tumblr. Hopefully in a week or two I’ll have my act together here. Until then, just for fun! Happy Friday everyone. Below are 4 or 5 similar poses because that’s how OOTD bloggers like me roll.
